- Why do I need employee testing?
- Using a personality test as an interviewing tool will help you and the applicant determine if this job meets their personality. This test is also used for promoting and evaluating personnel, as well as team development exercises.
The world is filled with many types of people. Each person has a distinct personality just as each person has different looks. Past education, environment and upbringing have something to do with our personalities. We learn traits from many different people and conditions.
This Personality Test is designed to sort out some of the mystery behind the applicant and see which qualities best meet our mutual needs. With these results you will have a much better chance of hiring, retaining, and promoting the right person for the job! 5
- How does it work?
- Based upon the answers given, the computer based program performs over 12,500 calculations and will change conflicting answers to show the true traits of the applicant. The report reviews consistencies and inconsistencies in answers and makes adjustments based on those answers. If the applicant said they were detailed, and the other answers contradict each other, the report would state this person is not detailed. 5
- Is the information accurate and reliable?
- Nothing in this world is perfect and people are very complex. One thing is certain though, you can't teach personality traits. Our personalities are formed in the first seven years and remain with us throughout our lives.
One area that comes close to 100% is the percentage of each "personality group". If the consistency level is above 13, you can be confident the applicant is most likely to be in that personality group. This means if the applicant received a 30% score in "Group A" this person on a day-to-day basis will be like "Group A" personality most of the time. You would know by the results this person likes to lead, set goals and is not a "yes" person. The secondary personality, (the next highest score) is also important. The applicant will use these secondary qualities in certain situations. Often times, the secondary personality is learned and is not as natural as the primary personality. 5
