"The
PortionPac system has reduced the number of chemicals we use and this
impacted us in several ways. We don't have to warehouse as many
products, don't have to train on as many things and the system made it
a lot simpler to do the job. It sort of "McDonaldizes"
things.
A contractor may
budget 15 minutes for a restroom regardless of the number of products
that are used. So, if the cleaner has six products, he has to make six
trips to the cart. Out of the 15 minutes you are going to have only 12
minutes of work time and 3 minutes of travel time. Now by using only
two products, we moved it up to 14 minutes of work and 1 minute of
travel. Anytime you can figure out a way to make your worker more
efficient and enable him to do a better job, it is going to impact
contract retention.
